On this episode of the podcast, I continue my conversation with recent graduates of NYU Steinhardt, talking about what their first year out of school has been like for them. Here, I speak with Julia Ortiz-Luis and Andrea Bush, both of whom graduated with a MM in Vocal Performance (Musical Theatre) and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Talking to them was such a great reminder to me of how our students—who often have boots on the ground in a different way than we do—can continue to teach us. Enjoy!

Andrea Marie Bush is a actor and voice teacher based in New York City. She currently holds adjunct voice faculty positions at New York Film Academy and City University of New York. She is an associate voice teacher at Kristin Titus DiAmore Voice Studio and maintains her own private voice studio in NYC.

Julia Ortiz-Luis
Julia Ortiz-Luis is an NYC-based actor, singer, and educator. She graduated from NYU Steinhardt with an MM in Vocal Performance and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Since graduating, she has been seen in various concert venues throughout the city, such as Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, and has been known to teach quite frequently in 17G at Ripley Grier Studios.
